Fairings/fenders assembled, sanded and primed, re-sanded and ready for final prime.

Coat of black Alclad black after wet sanding to smooth out, ready for final coat of Alclad black

masking done
Image

Sprayed with Alclad Prismatic Sapphire
Image
unfortunately the masking tape lifted some of the paint (see the bottom of the faring) and a couple of parts needed repaint and so some touch up work will be needed once these coats are fully dry.

Engine parts sprayed with Alclad Chrome
Image

engine assembled and some heat shrink and photo etc rivets added for detail
Image

Faring didnt come out anywhere as nice as I hoped, the alclad seemed to be more attracted to the tamiya masking tape than the primer so peeded off in patches, will come back and redo/repair these later.

Frame in progress and been having fun with the photo etch brakes :-)

Frisket + new airbrush + new compressor + time + clearcoat = nearly completely fixed fairings
Image
Photoetch brakes, wheels etc done, engine and rear swingarm done
Image
Now i need a few hours to get the photoetch chain done and onto the front forks.

had a long weekend here so good a good chunk of work done.
Photoetch making a nice bit of difference, laid a thin coat of smoke over the radiators as the original photoetch metal just looked way 2 shiney.
Front fender still needs a good polish but the 2k went on well on the rest the body.

nd complete, far from perfect but most importantly I learned a lot from this one especially with photoetch and paintwork on such curved/angled farings.
